Join us for a free New Year’s Day Hike!

Where: Gorgeous 4,000-acre Spring Lake Forest Preserve in Barrington Hills, IL. Trek into the heart of towering woodlands and vast meadows; through prime deer, fox, coyote and bird habitats; along lovely Hidden Pond and Penny Road Pond; and past muskrat lodges and deer beds.

When: Mon, Jan. 1 from 10 am - noonish. Arrive by 9:50 so you can don winter clothes & use the outhouse.

Hike details: We’ll hike about 4 miles, snow conditions allowing. (If there?s a lot of snow, we’ll shorten our hike so that we’ll be back by noon.) We’ll be following backwoods trails much of the time. While there are some pretty hills, the hike is mostly level and clear of fallen branches. Note that trails could be icy or muddy.

Who: We’ll take the first 25 women who sign up... and we welcome "newbies". Spots fill quickly!
